So this week here in Honduras was Woman's Day!!! Nothing really happens you just says "Felicidades" to all the grown women... but it was a great way to talk to a bunch of people in the street! Me and my comp were shouting to every female we could see felicidades, felicidades FELICIDADES!! It was more than anything a good way to have fun and to get to know the people in our area.
This week my comp and I decided to "clean up" our area, or stop teaching the people who aren't going to church or who aren't reading the Book of Mormon or Bible, or aren't praying. It was a rough week but an amazing opportunity to show our faith and go out an talk to all the people we could :) We have found a ton of people and we are praying that they all progress along with the other two people we kept! My highlight was probably being able to get to contact one dude who is from Bangladesh! He talked about the repressive government and how the gospel should be something liberating. We talked about the liberating feelings that come from living the commandment and being able to wake up every day without addictions and with a clean conscience.
I love my mission more than anything in the world! I also love receiving emails from all you guys, I'm so sorry if I dont reply I only have a certain amount of time to write! Anyways the basketball game looks awesome even though BYU lost and I am so stoked to see Jake and Conner and other family memebers:) I know that families are forever and that there is nothing better than the knowledge that I will always be with my family!!!
Hey Bishop, if you would ever like to see it in writing, in preach my gospel it says that we should 100% put specific goals, and although that may be talking about just full time missionaries, here in Honduras, EVERYTHING in the church is based of a SET GOAL standard. I know that my personal goals that I have right now make me work hard and dilligently to take my energy and put it towards a set goal that is a number that can be accomplished but only with the help of the lord. The ward mission plan looks excellent I'm all in with it:)Pops I know that this church is true:) That those numbers are people not just numbers and you can clear that up with the people. I know that you received revelation about those numbers that came directly from the Lord.
Today we went to hangout with a bunch of monkeys that was really fun!! As for my comp, we are working real hard!! I know that we can always do better but i have looked at these past weeeks and I can say that I have come home every day DEAD TIRED and ready to sleep for a few minutes ha ha. That's all it feels like.
Shout Out! Shayne Davern wrote me this week that was awesome. Did you know he was the MVP of the Idaho potato bowl game??? He had 112 yds on 12 carries and two touchdowns hahah man i miss football so much.. I have been SO GOOD at not looking at ESPN or anything of sports. Thanks so much mom for the stats and news on the Oregon/Ohio State Championship! Love all that sent me info on it :)
My comp and I are loving life! I am starting to enjoy the mission more and more:) Its a lot harder to enjoy the mission when you dont have more than just your companion to talk to, sure its awesome and everyhting but every once in a while its good to talk to other people. So me and my comp are just learning to get along and hangout sometimes:) We NEVER SLACK OFF so we used to come home, plan, pray and sleep, but now at night we talk about our families, what we enjoy about the mission and what our plans are in the future:) My life is bomb diggity and right now we are working as a team and really just praying to find more solid people looking for Jesus Christ and His gospel!
So Tony is going to the temple AGAIN this week and Luis taught priesthood and it was AWESOME! Waltercito is passing the sacrament like a champ every week and we are teaching his mom as well:) Elder Colindres speaks a little bit of English and he always asks me "what time is it" he has that frase down! One of these days he will learn a couple more haha but he is a boss and i learn so much form him every day!
Have an amazing week everybody! Never be shy to shoot a quick email to me, its free ya know;) and I Love IT!
